The company was founded on 30 August 2013 with the name CV Ulu Mas and on 22 February 2019 it changed its name to PT Ulu Mas Jaya ("UMJ"). The company is located in Palembang, South Sumatra. The company operates in the field of wholesale trade and services. The current business sector is e-commerce startup (marketplace) with the brands "brayamart.com, belibenih.com and Indobumbu.com", plantation consultants, suppliers, information and technology, transportation and delivery services and biomass.
